This year, nearly 30 girls in the 3^rd and 4^th grades read 5 or more of the books on the Texas Bluebonnet Award Master List. To celebrate their accomplishment, they were treated to a Bluebonnet Breakfast on the Lower School Library patio. In honor of this year’s winning book, Down Girl and Sit: On the Road by Lucy Nolan, the girls ate bone-shaped biscuits and sausages and took home “doggie bags” containing a paperback book of their choosing, a pen or pencil, and a bookmark featuring the titles on next year’s Bluebonnet list.
