Third Grade Photos and Poems
In Computer, Mrs. Smith’s and Mrs. Munoz’s third grade classes have been learning about photography and a special program called Photostories. First they learned how to take good digital pictures and how to use the “macro” setting on the camera for closeups. After taking pictures all around campus, they downloaded their pictures into their folders. Then they learned how to crop their pictures and do some basic lighting enhancement. After choosing their 3 favorite picutures, they imported them into KidPix where they created a poem to accompany the picture. Next they exported their KidPix slides as JPEGs (picture) and then the real fun began. Using Photostory, they imported their 3 “poetry pics”, a title card and an end card. Next they chose transitions for their slide show. After this they narrated each slide – reciting the poem they wrote. At the end, they created their own music backgrounds and finally converted the whole project to a movie. Their movies are linked below. Please enjoy their hard work!!!
